Just a normal observation......
Once a user comes to know that his/hers K-series phone can be flashed/upgraded to a W-series phone, they just go ahead and do it,people think that the W-series is on a higher level then the K-series...wonder how Sony Ericsson is well-known in the camera segment ?Listening to music seems to be more popular than clicking pictures.......

The W series stretches from low end to high end.
You get decent media players in the recent K series phones but you don't really get good ~AF cameras in the

handsets. May be thats why.

@ goldenface
I agree. think about it.
Flashing a W series in a K series will give you additional application like

icon and mediaplayer and at the same time, AF camera. (mostly)
but flashing a K series in a W series will give you nothing and will never activate the AF bcoz AF is a hardware issue.

Most SE market sales top notchers were inclined with the K-series segment. K700, K750, K800 were few ones among them. and tbh i loved K more than

most walkman phones are basically based on K-series with just a walkman sticker and player slapped on it. although this stereotype has been axed with the arrival W980 (basically a completely new product without any direct/indirect descendant)

I ran W800 software on my K750 for almost the whole life of the phone. It still runs W800 (R1BC).
I did this for the Walkman software and flightmode. Though with no activity menu in the W800, I'm not sure what I'd do if I had to go back to the K750 handset.
The K800 atleast has activity menu, flight mode, and the music player in K800 is more advanced than that which was in the K750 firmware, so K800 is sorta like a mix between K750 and W800 best features.
With my Walkman mod, my K800 is close enough to Walkman for me to not want an actual Walkman phone

My loyalty to K-series forces me to buy a K750 housing and use it to replace my W800's

Since my K700, I've only owned Vodafone branded handsets - V800, V630i, V640i and my next will be a T650i so I've had neither Cybershot nor Walkman branded models

I don't debrand my phones but I always look for Walkman based themes to run on them.

Yes I installed the Walkman theme on my K850i which has TrackID, EQ, A2DP, AlbumArt etc.
The Walkman theme displays the current track above the time when on standby.
