I've found a theme I like but some of the colours are missmatched, I've downloaded theme creator 3.19 and can see what needs to be changed but don't know how to edit, can anyone help.

TIA

use theme creator to change and/or save the changes. tugzip (or similar)
to extract the images as a thm file is really a TAR archive. the images can
be edited with gimp, paint.net or any other favourite image editor.

Open the original .utz file in the editor, import your newly edited images into that ,in the appropriate sections, then resave from within the editor. I'd 'save as' a new filename so you can go back to the original if you need to.

Copy the .utz file.
Change the copy's name to .zip.
Extract it to a new folder.
Open the original in the theme editor.
Find out which image files I need to modify.
Do my image editing - editing files in my new folder.
Import my newly edited images in to the theme editor, replacing the incorrect ones.
Save the theme as a new .utz file.

it worked, but there's still one small thing i would like to change,

when you jog dial over your shortcuts on the main screen, the name of the app comes up in a box with a red highlight,

how do you edit this area?

It's what's called 'infoprint', in the first tab of the editor (standby) there are settings for the background and text style/colour.
