I've downloaded package1 from arnoldc's post in Software, installed.
But, now what ? I have the cable plugged in to serial port, and the phone on the other end.
What I want to be able to do is send file images/themes over the cable, nothing more (those that are bigger than 3kb limit).

download mobile phone monitor from sonyericsson.com then go to christersson.org for their programs for sending/uploading files for T68i

alternatively, you can use Float's Mobile Agent (FMA). In this case, you won't have to install 's MPM program and you can send/receive/archive SMS messages, and control your PC(!!) from your phone.

I hooked up my T68i to my pc using the cable and started FMA. It got connected, and synced my sent sms folder.

So far so good, but I can't seem to be able to read the phonebook or transfer any files. When I click on "upload item" and select a gif (1500 bytes), and click OK, it shows me the battery level and another "RSSI' level meter down in the status bar and says "Sending xyz.gif (1500 bytes)..." That's it. Nothing after that.

Is there anything im missing? Is there any way I can download all the pics from the phone onto the pc and vice versa using the cable or no? Also, FMA detects my phone as a T68, not a T68i.

Strange!

I ran FMA with -debug and it gave me a connection error at first, but then on trying again everything went as smooth as a hot knife through butter!

Great! Now I have the Windows XP logo on my phone!
