Can always change it back to the blue one should anything go wrong, i have just had upgrade from t-mobile but they sent the blue one, i prefer the green.

Ive tried sellin it on ebay and it didnt even get past £150 bidding so i cancelled it.

I changed one on my K550i once.
Its pretty simple, they give you a tiny star shaped allen key (forgot name) and once you take the back off you can unscrew the front off.
However the K850 opens from the bottom so I wouldn't know how you could take off the whole fascia but I'm sure there's a way!

I'm waiting for the Quicksilver black casing to appear. There is a guide on here on how to change the housing - I'm sure.

Actually opening the thing up voids your warranty. Changing it back won't do anything as they'll be able to see if it has been previously opened.

Often wondered if manufacturers fitted some kind of tamperproof seal to the equipment, I know some WM devices I've had in the past had this feature, a bit like the water damege indicator.

Tends to be like a sticker between the front and rear bit of shell so if it has been opened, this sticker is ripped and the engineer can see.
Afaik they're replaced after a service centre has opened them.

If you look behind the faceplate of an XBOX 360 there's a silver Microsoft sticker on the line between the top and bottom half of the console.
