> QR Code or Semacode reader for UIQ3
Bookmark topic
I have a P1i, and an interest in 2D barcodes for the purpose of real-life hyperlinks.
I don't particularly care which system I use, but I can't seem to find any software for either UIQ3, or any UIQ in general (not that I know whether earlier software will even be compatible.)
The reference Semacode reader for J2ME doesn't work, sadly, as it thinks the P1i has no MMAPI (which is insane, I mean it's a relatively new phone, it should have this relatively old API, but oh well.)
Does anyone know of any software which does work? I've been looking for something which is similarly simple to use as the in-built business card reader.

For QR Code, I found
i-nigma reader
PC
Mobile
For Semacode/Datamatrix, I use
UpCode:
PC
Mobile
For some reason, I've had some trouble getting i-nigma to work with on-screen QR codes. Anything on paper seems to work just fine, pointing it at a monitor often results in "Decode unsuccesful."
Anyway, hope this helps.

I can't thank you enough. Turns out the current i-nigma even supports DataMatrix. I tested it against the example on the front of the Semacode site and it works -- even off my monitor. Though it took two tries to get it to work off the monitor.
