Hi people, I'm just wondering if anybody has their list of "must have" mods/updates/firmware patches for the K800i?
I have looked around the threads and noticed a lot of people changing the look of the software etc, but apart from the advanced camera drivers, can't see many things to improve the functionality of my phone.
I may not have looked hard enough, sorry if this is the case.
Also, could somebody give me a break down on a few things? The upgraded camera driver. What is it's main purpose?
I hear you can patch a K800i to a K810i firmware. Is this worth doing?
Sorry to ask such noobish questions, but with the least offense intended, there are a lot of people on this board speaking broken english which is VERY hard for me to understand.
Finally. Thinking about buying a GPS enabler. Will this give me limited sat nav functionality on it's own, or do I need to download and install a map set? If so, where/what's best?

Things i have done with my phone which i think is pretty good in terms of functionallity is:
Modded so i start up "mobyexplorer" if i press the 'browser button' beside the joystick for ~1sec and if i press it less than 1sec it starts up the musicplayer.
And then applied a patch "full java access" which enables me to browse my phones internal filesystem with a program in the phone (MobyExplorer).. i dont have to turn it off and connect it to a program like XS just for uploading a new camdriver, changing the sounddriver and stuff like that. Very handy!
I dont mess around with tons of patches and GFX, just the simpel and handy stufff. Maybe just changing the menu and battery & signal icons.
"Upgraded cameradriver"? Do you mean these modded camdrivers?
Its the original camdriver but with different settings like color, sharpness, ISO, Shutter speed and stuff like that. Some have more advanced perks and some dont. Just try them out, learn them and use the one that speaks to you.
I have in the past flashed my K800 to K810 firmware but i changed back to K800 FW because i find my K800 to run a little
faster or smoother with its native K800 firmware.
And i didn't find any perks or gain in using the K810 FW, sure if you desperatly need
TrackID or
PhotoFix then use the K810 fw but other than that there are no other difference.
