I wanted to check out the z770 phone when it was released about a week ago. But somehow here and there, things are being delayed and no phone passed to me until yesterday. So I have to do two "Z" phones in one day.

Interesting enough when you are doing two Z(zzz)s together, things suddenly is clear on what SE is trying to do in 2008. The product line up is very well defined (May be they get a new Head of Marketing now). The Z770 is a business phone to do online and email. A trim down version Smartphone at a very affordable price tag comparing to the dated P1.

Here we go. W770 package comes with a battery, charger, low end earphones, manual and a box.... well..... affordable.

The reviewing colour version, believe it or not is call "Vogue Red". I have to confirm three time to believe it myself. Where is the red? Anyway, the phone is thin and light of course. The design of the phone is a little bit Japanese styled with steel cool business outfit. Personally, I think it is a very nice business use phone.

Close up shot on the keypad layout. The design is contemporary. Using lines to separate buttons. The touch feel of the buttons is good as I had tried. This is what Sony Ericsson is really good at, designing a really good looking phone. Nokia had a lot of attempts to do this kind of contemporary design on the phones before and most of them just being overdone.

Another side shot for the phone. It is really thin. And we can see the grey rubber M2 slot cover from here.

Close up shot on the bright and clear screen. 2.2 inches 240x320 standard.

Another menu pict. Navigating through the menu with the thin and tiny up and down button is still ok. The speed of menu screen is fast enough.

The stainless steel exterior design is clean. There is a little display window for time and caller ID as usual.

Another pict for the exterior. This time we have the tiny red line shown. Guess what, this is why the colour version is called Vogue Red. Yeah, the tiny red line. Sigh.

I have not tested through the email, network speed or any of those stuff. May be there are a lot of those reviews out there for you to compare at your region already. But looking at the design of the phone, this one is definitely good business phone. However, if you want fun stuff like 5,6,7,8,9, mega pixel AF cameras or W=walkman music player, you are not getting it. Wait for the next Cyber-Shot or Walkman phone then.

I think it the red will be more impressive when you see the keypad light up, and I guess the red strip on the exterior lights up too.

Yeah I guess so. May be when someone calls in, the red strip will light up. During my review, I did not recieved any call in... so I don't know. I guess if it lights up, it will look cool.
