sony ericsson p910a touchscreen is stuck in some mode whereas when you press a icon on the screen the signal strengh bar only flashes . can only use the jog dial any solutions?

I was also going to suggest a master reset, but again impossible without TS control - Though you could always reflash the phone with SEUS to get the same effect.
This would at least rule out a software issue.
If SEUS doesn't work:
You could get a new one from ebay:

Theyre pretty easy to change, with a little time/patience.
OR Take it to a service centre, but this might get expensive.
