> M600i bricked by a theme - safe mode?
Bookmark topic
I'm trying to fix an M600i that was bricked by installing a theme (nothing else!). If I can't find any other way, I'll fix it vie SEUS, but I would prefer to save the data on the phone if at all possible.
Does anyone know of a way to boot the phone in a "safe mode" or similar that loads the default theme instead of the last used theme? I need to find a way to reset/delete the theme so the phone can boot properly again (right now it gets stuck on the operator logo screen, before the pin entry screen or the flightmode/phone on screen).

Could be the theme but I doubt it.
Try removing your mem stick instead and check if it works.

I have tried removing both mem card and sim card, but nothing.
The trouble started right after installing a theme. After installing a theme, the user got errors every time she tried to install another theme. Trying to enter any other menus also produced errors. Then after switching the phone off and on, it refused to boot at all.
It does seem odd that the software error handling can be so weak that a theme can brick the phone, but from what I've seen the M600 has never really been very stable. I have also found reports of other themes bricking other M600s...
