Hi all, I am in USA and bought a K850i a few months ago, working fine, but now anytime I try to access any Java apps, I get "Operation Failed", I am trying to update the phone which I have heard fixes this problem, I tried SEUS, it keeps saying disconnect and try again.

EDIT: SOLVED

i had this with my first K850i, took it into vodafone and they gave me a band new one. Mine would not even open the applications or games folder.

The thing is, no Vodafone here. Im in the US. I'll try the place where I bought it from on Monday.

I forgot to mention but, I can't open the Apps and Games folder, which are essentially all Java apps.

The only solution is NOT SEUS. You must totally flash the firmware. I recommend www.kulankendi.com .

I would recommend you go back to the store you bought it and let them take it back for repair, why should you pay on Kulankendi for something that is free?

I also had some bugs with my first k850, after I got it back from repair, everyting, and i really mean everyting is working perfect.

No do not return the phone to the store... You can reflash it's firmware using XS++ (which is free ) and it will work for sure...

See my phone flashing tutorial here:

http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=156090

download firmware and flash drivers and you can give it a go...

It's tested by me that folowing this tutorial (this kind of flashing) solves the "operation failed on java" issue with the K800...

if the unit was just bought days ago, bring it back to your dealer.. otherwise, use KK.. sure its not free, but your phone can be fixed for just 12-15mins.. compared to sending the unit for repair for 2-4weeks..
