Hi anyone facing the same problem as me on joystick problem...
it happen once a while.. where right and down joystick doesn't response while the rest is working fine. Once I reboot it again it working again. I thought it could cause by firmware.. and I update to latest R8.. but it still happen.

Anyone know about this bug?

never heard of it before, but sounds like the software is screwy. Maybe a full master reset will help (update doesn't replace file system only main.) Or a full reflash with XS++ or similiar.

Well i don't know if you have done any mods to the phone. But tell me, can you try using some java game when the joystick is not working. If it works fine in java, then it's hardware (dust or something) problem...

I have figured out the way the joystick works (at least on DB2020 phone such as K800 and K810)...

The joystick has 5 directions: left, right, up, down and press (the middle one)... But some of the functions can be pressed togedher... For e.g. you can press up and right at the same time (try keypoard test in the service test menu). When two functions/directions are pressed at the same time the phone doesn't obey any of the commands given. So if your joystick is dusty or etc... and it received 2 commands like I mentioned above, it won't work when you are in the phone's menu, which is not the case in java. When you are running some java game for example, the joystick will obey every command given, no mather if it is double or etc...
