The SO905iCS seems to be a really good basis on which to base the new flagship imaging device for SE & surely it wouldn't need a vast amount of adjustment for the western market?

Well... the biggest problem is that it runs on CDMA networks only.
We use GSM. (except for some providers in the US)

So in other words it wouldn't take that much effort to produce a western version I wouldn't have thought!

No, I wouldn't need alot of adjusting at all. But how many Japanese exclusives have we seen here in the US/UK. What happened to the Bravia phone?

Yeah, pretty much, its a breeze to Roam on in the UK - just a change of OS, from MOAP to UIQ - or a modified MOAP platform, and we have a winner - of course, it would be nice to see our European features added, such as TrackID, Xenon Flash lol, and a FastPort - although, admittedly - im getting on rather well with the DoCoMo proprietary port - partially becuse its so much smaller!!
Obviously we would not have the 'Osaifu Keitai' built in - or the 'FeliCia' Wallet feature...

SE should jus do that...would be so much easier....and would save them a lot on development costs as well!!!
how stable are these Japanese phones anyway do they tend to have a lot of issues like the ones we get here?
man if there was this phone with a UIQ interface or something...i would so get it!!!!

Haven't SE got a new boss for Europe who seems more inclined to do this sort of thing with moving these kind of handsets out of Japan etc?
