If you delete a file from your drive, is there any way to recover it even if its not in the recycle bin

If you actually have deleted a file by mistake and are not simply inquiring into this software out of interest I would strongly advise you stop using the hard drive in question immediately (ie. use another computer) until you have downloaded some undelete software. If it is your only computer make sure that you use the computer as little as possible, disable cache in internet browsers and do not write files to the disk, this way once undeleted there is a greater chance of the file being intact. Also, make sure you undelete the file as soon as possible so that there is the greatest chance of the file not being damaged.
As for the software to use there is range of free software available from a simple google search for undelete tools or some similar search.
