I've been trying to upgrade my firmware for a while... My K800i is on the old R1JG001 and I notice that there is alot of firmware versions after that...

But when I go to update on SEUS, it says mine has the latest version! LIES!

I think part of the reason could be that it says my phone's firmware is a Hong Kong firmware. Would there be a way to install the latest, say, USA firmware onto it?

Thanks for that tutorial. So can I flash it with a custpack for a different CDA (say the generic europe one) and change the phone, or does it have to be the same CDA that the phone has?

it's preferible that you use a CDA that matches your region. if your in europe, you should use a cda from europe so it wont make any problems with the languages.

Well you see, I'm in New Zealand but my phone was purchased in Hong Kong...

So as long as it displays english I don't really mind...

The custpack for the CDA my phone is right now is quite hard to find... The only place it is at is topsony and I don't have 20 posts yet

CDA102511/85 R7A is my phones CDA. It doesn't seem to be anywhere.

well, i cant find it either. get a firmware from europe 1 and use a cda from europe 1 as well. i think xs++ has that cda.

Oh well. Thanks for looking.

The Main I got is 'MAIN_GENERIC_WI_RED52'. The FS is 'FS_CENT_EUROPE_RED52' and the custpack is
"CDA102568_207_R2A_GENERIC_CENT_EUROPE".

Do these all match properly?

those are ok. before flashing, check your phone is CID52 because this firmware is for CID52.
