Bookmark topic
Hi,
I heard that Tesco mobile is running on o2 network, does that mean if I but a tesco mobile locked phone I can use my o2 sim without needing to unlock?

My dad brought the 6300 from there thinking the same thing...
When he came home, he inserted the O2 sim and it didn't work...
I can only confirm on this model.
Thanks

I use a Tesco sim card on an o2 branded phone with no problems.
So i'm guessing its the same the other way round.

If there isn't actually a MNC and MCC code combination for Tesco mobile how can they lock it to Tesco mobile, I would think they can only lock it to O2 network

o2 sims will not work in a tesco locked phone but tesco sims will work in an o2 locked phone.
Its the same with virgin and t-mob. Virgin sims will work in a t-mob locked phone but t-mob sims will not work in a virgin locked phone

I can confirm this from O2. A customer came in with a tesco mobile sim, put in a locked 7373 black from us, and it worked.

Yeah thats the point, they'll work in an O2 locked phone, but an O2 sim won't work in a locked Tesco Mobile phone, at least not from my experience.
