Was very envious when my sister could afford the new Nokia 6100 and bought it a couple of days ago.

Must say that I was really awed by the form factor. Holding my T300 next to it, the T300 looks obesse!

Nokia really manipulated their 8250 success in design til this very day. All their successful and attractive phones still bear this form. The 6100 is no exception save sexier.

Amazing how they can cramp the 4,096 colours into such a small phone.

Now the problem; I was trying to beam some jpgs to my sis phone. After several tries, realise that I can't. After checking the manual, I read with horror how pics can only be downloaded to the phone through wap and mms. What a shocker! A color phone but you can't even download any decent pics through the proper channels...

Speaking of colours, jpgs appear pixelated on the phone; at least those jpgs that come with the phone. IMHO, the Mitsubishi M320 colors look miles better than the 6100 (I know, cause my wife is holding the former).

In short, despite the hype and high cost about the 6100, I must say I am dissappointed that such a basic function like transfering pic through IrDA is absent. My sis doesn't have MMS at present, thus no way to get any pics she like into her phone.

Still love the form factor, though. Really hope that if there is a successor to the T68i, it will be as sexy as the 6100 (with more than 256 colors that is...)

My two cents worth...

Thanks for the info. Maybe 7210 is better than 6100.

What model will Nokia release next?
