> My first ever Nokia, should I stay with them?
Bookmark topic
People,after having my issues with

since buying th p990i at full price and really getting frustrated with it and then other issues I bought a used N80 to see what Nokia is really about.
I have never owned a Nokia before and thus I wanted to try them out versus

As someone coming from the T610,T637,P900,p910i and p990i I was/am very much off balance using it. First off no touch screen but I can get used to it.
I am surprised to learn the ease at which the nokia operates.
I am looking to buy the N95-2 but I want to give

a chance at redemption when the P-next comes out.
Question,will

redeem themselves with the p-next? Should I move to the N95 8Gb?
There is the software that comes with the nokia phones that I even consider to be superior to what you get with

No one here knows really what the next p-series will be so far, you have to wait and see whats happends. Nokia don't make bad phones thow, but what I can see, the N95 8gb is overpriced...

Nokia N95 8gb has got much cheaper than before atleast here it costs 575 usd$.And for the next P u have to wait 5 months, and u have to see if all the bugs are ironed out in few weeks time in the new P, unlike P990.And on other hand N95 8gb is cheap and stable compared to the price which will be higher for P , Plus the waiting time, and the stability.

Guys the price of the P next is also why I am seriously considering dropping

because they are starting to seem over priced each and every time and they lose value very soon afterwards.
I do want to get the N95-2 but not want to pay the current prices then see the P-next.
Also I was surprised with the ease of use with the nokia whereas before I always thought that navigating and using Nokia were terrible.

I've learned about sony ericsson from P990i, P1i, and K850i. Don't buy a phone when it just release (fully buggy set even occur hardware issue). Don't hope next firmware will do magic (think about P990i). So I think you should go for nokia until you want to wait 1 year for decent 100% workable set from sony ericsson(the question is, are we sure that we gonna have like that? Think about P1i). N95-8gb is over priced but its worth it.

I'm not a fan of PDA's or

's P-series, I much prefer feature phones as you get more for your money and I don't need the Applications or Document editors. I see the N95 8GB as the Ultimate Feature Phone and not a PDA and therefore I'd say go for the Nokia. The N95 line is an inspired master-stroke by Nokia and I'm not surprised its successful. I just can't see any direct competition for it ATM.

have some great medium range products like V640i/K630i, W910i, T650,W890i, K660i, W660i, W760i and more coming soon, but nothing compares to N95 8GB in the Premium price bracket.

Definetly get the N95-8GB. There is so much software out for the Nseries handsets, if you think your N80 is great then i suggest the N95-8gb, you will love it,and it is definetly worth the price IMO, or even the upcoming Black N82 both are feature packed, and stable phones with tons of software available.

I know that the N80 is old now however I bought more as a trial phone since I had never used Nokia before and I like it very much. Imagine that a phone like that came with software that seems superior to what the P990i came with at that time.
Besides the N95 I am looking at the N81 which is very stylish but like I said I am really waiting for

's P-next,not the Experia.
Whaat about value. Does Nokia hold their value?

I use 2 lines (phones),
one a smart phone and
the other a dumb phone.
My dumb phone has
just become a Motorola
v8 (a first non Ericsson
or Sony Ericsson in 10
years!) and for my smart
phone it may still
become a Nokia unless
I'm really really
impressed by either the
P next or the Xperia x1.
For my smartphone
needs I still use my
P910i. What I'm saying
is SE have messed up
big and if you're not
happy with them
anymore move on.
Personally I love the E90
but the n95 8gb is
excellent if you're into
'common' sliders.
