Hi there,
Today I answered a call, and hung it up. After that, I put down my phone, and went back to driving. I noticed in my peripheral vision that the lights on my phone didn't turn off, so I looked closer at it when I parked and noticed that the backlight for the keys are one, and the blue light surrounding the lens is on, however the screen is dead, and the phone doesn't respond.
Now, all I can do is turn on the phone, and I get the same thing..black screen, all the lights on, but absolutely nothing. No response to any key presses. Also tried to use the update service, and no go, there is an error updating (it doesn't go past 0%)
I tried plugging it into the wall, removing the battery and trying again, etc. Anyone else have the same experience? Phone hasn't been dropped or gotten wet or anything! Also using the latest firmware, it is unbranded, unlocked.

Turns out that was the problem, and I flashed it with the kulakendi program and its back to the way it was before.
I still can't believe SE would be release a firmware that basically bricks EVERYONE's phone!! I had R1CE0031 or something on it before. I also wasn't using ANY memory card, and it was running probably 6 to 8 weeks before it bricked.

i also bought the k850 phone in november-2007 and it failed to work within 3 months of use..i had the same problem as posted by someone saying that the phone hung up after finishing a call, the lights were on with no response ..
i gave the fone for repair n i came to know that there was a problem in the Motherboard which has to be replaced ..it took 1month completely to get my mob back...
But even after replacement with the new motherboard, the functioning of the fone is not up to the mark..it still gets stucked up sometimes..particularly with messaging
Is this problem faced by many of the K850 users???

Some k850 users have those problems too yes, this has to do with FW and not with the motherboard or whatever. we are all waiting for a good
FW !
