Yep,as smartphones go, it nearly does everything it says on the box, BUT there are less 3rd party applications avilable than for S60, and far fewer than for WM. Also, comparitively, it's lacking in raw processor power to some WM devices, making it seem a little less than snappy.

There seem to be a lot of reported problems with the build quality of recent UIQ based phones, on saying that I've never had a problem with mine - apart from a slightly creaky case.

I think that the P1 is a very handy little beast, I like the fact that it hasn't sacrificed anything of it's heriatage as a telephone in order to incorporate the PDA functions, and on balance I'd give it the thumbs up. Do be aware that it does have its limitations, and it might be worth waiting for the G900 or even th P5 (which I've a feling will make the P1 seem very old). With the latter, however, you may be waiting a long time, as it hasn't officially been announced yet.

I suppose on balance with the latest FW it is a nice handset.

Watch out for the green camera tint that is still very apparent on some handsets (but not all) and also be aware that the music volume through wired headset and BT is very low.

I now have the N95 8Gb which in my opinion is far better but lacking touchscreen.

The P1i is a nice size, the N95 is quite bulky but better featured.

Good luck!

Correction...volume through wired headset (hpm-70) is not very low anymore...in fact, its nowvery loud

It remains low through my hbh ds970 though
