That comparison is not fair at all.


W960 should have won "Sales package, accessories" as it comes with a much better headset as well as MMC-70 music cable. It should also have won "Materials, build quality" and "Design", as it's better built and looks a lot better than N81.

I can't comment on "Battery time (for music)", but I know that the W960 FM radio is without doubt the best of the two, so it should have won "Radio" as well. Both phones support "Internet radio", so I don't know why they've both received minuses there.

With regards to the last two, music quality and loud speaker, I can't comment much. I know that W960 performs quite well. But even if we say that N81 performs better, that gives us

W960: 8 points
N81 8GB: 7 points

shouldnt come as a surprise. one has an audio chip, one doesnt.........

any thing with a dedicated chip will almost always come out on top......

same as with N91 vs W950

the latter loses in music quality and that as a music centric device is LAME
i have listened to both N81 and w960 with ultimate ears super fi 3 and N81 wins...hands down
i've also compared them with the N91
no question
the N91 is the benchmark when it comes to pure audio quality among mobile phones :X:X

bottom line...its a SHAME to lose the audio quality test
this is the most important for audiophiles like me...more important than the battery life ...
se gotta learn from nokia and use some audio chip to enhance audio
at least on their high end music centric devices

Whatever man. N81 won fair and square regardless of what you say. Just because you're not dis-satisfied doesnt do W960 any favor what so ever. So the comparison is fair.

SE lost the plot last year
and haven't recovered.
2006 was when the
edge they had on Nokia
started slipping and now
Nokia is just cruising. If
they (SE) are going to
compete and match, let
alone beat, Nokia they
need to do it this year
with their next releases,
and I mean from Paris

leaders in music terms
yet they are not, even
the iphone trounces
them. Hell, the iphone
trounces any phone for
that matter. For
Samsung to even sound
better than SE is a
disgrace indeed. Oh,
