I rang up this morning asking why they had taken the N82 off their website. They told me that they had discontinued it. This is annoying because (thanks to your help) I realised this phone would suit me perfectly.
Just because they have discontinued it, does that mean they haven't got any in stock?? They might have some left over ones...
Thanks

Try stores that sell phones on the O2 network. Its likely you'll find some with N82s still in stock, and they may be going cheap too.

Would prefer to upgrade over the phone direct with o2... but if I have to I will do that... Thanks
Once they discontinue a product, surely they don't just et rid of the phones...

The thing is, they will remove the product from their website only once they have sold the last one already. So it is very likely that there is no website stock left!

Why have they discontinued it so soon?? One of the best phones out... the specs are really similar to the N95...

We still have plenty of them in store and advertise them. If they take it off their website and stop doing it over the phone then they redistribute them elsewhere, they don't just leave them 'lying around'. They tend to go to us, the stores.
There are three seperate companies within O2: Retail (the stores), Online and Direct (which is over the phone), so one will say one thing, and another will say another thing unfortunately.

What are the chance of me getting a free upgrade at an O2 store?? Higher or lower than over the phone??

All 3 of the above are answerable to Matt Key
