hello there everyone! as the SonyEricsson T68i came out, Mac collaborated with it. and it worked great together. no problems at all (correct me if i'm mistaken). Now my question is, does it work A-OK with the P800? i mean does it really synch in everyway like the t68i does on OSX? i'm a mac user and this is very important and i have to find out before getting this SUPER PHONE. please reply on this message if you have any experience with the said synchronization. it's just really important. THANKS!!!

well... from what I've heard... iSync does not work with it... yet! keep in mind that the phone that was used was not a final release plus that iSync is still a Beta!
I'm hoping that at MacWorld SF, january 7, steve jobs will announce the iPhone! P800 in a Apple outfit! if not that, at least a working sync with the phone, and hopefully syncing the pictures in the phonebook (P800) and the AddressBook (Mac).

well, we'll see... I for one am waiting to see what Steve says, before I switch from my syncable t68i!

The current version of iSync does not work at all with the P800 (phone is not recognised). Addressbook features like caller-id or dialing do not work either...

Alot of people are "hoping" that the final iSync (remember that iSync is still in beta form) will be released at MWSF and that it will work with the P800...

I suggest we all post requests on the iSync discussion board so that Apple takes notice:

isync supports the open standard, SyncML, so if the p800 doesn't have SyncML then it won't work yet.
seems very dumb that ericsson wouldn't include syncml in it.

Im going 2 also be an apple user as soon as my powermac ships. Since all ericsson phones that have wap and calender synch why not the p800? Can anyone check manual and see if it does support SyncML? This post was posted from a T39

The P800 *does* support SyncML. http://www.esato.com/phones/index.php?phone=33
Had no problems syncronizing the P800 using Mightyphone.com.

God damn it, there will NOT be an Apple cellphone. iPhone will probably be an iApp for uploading pics and stuff via Bluetooth (just a wild guess). But thinking that Apple will enter one of the toughest businesses in the tech field is just stupid (no offence).

Personally I'm waiting for Apple to release a final iSync, the beta is really slow and the P800 isn't supported.
