Hi all
Well it appears that Nokia is still growing strongly despite the slow down that has effected many of it's rivals. Although it has seen some slowing of growth in some markets it has continued to show strong growth in the emerging markets and looks safe to hold on to its position as market leader.
Nokia Q1 2008 net sales of EUR 12.7 billion, reported EPS of EUR 0.32 (EUR 0.38 excl special items)
April 17, 2008
Profitability strong for the quarter - operating profit up 39% year on year, excluding special items
Nokia Corporation
Interim Report
April 17, 2008 at 13.00 (CET +1)
The full figures including special items can be read here

Nokia's first quarter results disappoint
The 1st quarter of the year is always a difficult one however Samsung seems to be flying right now with its Voyager / Viewty phones. So there are mixed messages out there.

Looking at that asp, from 83 to 81 then to 79, I thought nokia had a nice balance of high end phones in relation to their low end to push the selling price up. @goldenface- I thought viewty was LG?

Where is the strong growth i dont see it. From 40 to 39 market share and asp going down and down. The topic of this thread is misleading.

So, if your income just went up by 25%, wouldn't you call that a "strong growth"?
