I want to back up my contacts to my PC but wondered how i can tell how many contacts are held on my SIM and phone as i cant see any nuber just the names etc?

Also what's the max amount of contacts that can be stored on a SIM?

Once i have backed up all my contacts i want to wipe my SIM clean and then backup to that so need to know how many it holds as i think i may have over 250 Contacts on my phone and would like to know my SIM can hold that amount.

Many thanks

Old SIMs used to hold 100 phone numbers (note not contacts). New ones can hold over 500. All depends on the age of your SIM and how often your network updates their technology.

Ah right cheers, i know its an 02 sim (although changed networks a few times), and im sure it got replaced a few years back (5+maybe).

Is there anyway of checking other then counting the contacts as i cant see any feature that numbers them only alphabetically?
