> W900 HPM-80 problem
Bookmark topic
Hi guys!
I'm intending to take my w900 apart because the connector of its HPM-80 hust seem to easily pop out & music gets disconnected (very irritable indeed)
Had plans of changing it with a spare z520 connector which looks the same.
Any suggestions on how to work this out would be greatly appreciated.
TIA

Are you sure its the connector and not the fastport?
This same thing happened to me. If it is the fastport you can get replacements on eBay quite cheaply.

yeah ffs i can't listen to music without the connector falling
i have to hold the earphones into the socket
it might seem like a dogey patch up job but double fold some and bang in the two sides works for about 2 weeks

I read a post somewhere wherein it says you could use upto 8gb provided that 470mb remain free in your w900i.
I guess i'll do some frankenstein job tonight & replace the fastport with the z520's.
@goldenface:
They are same, aren't they?

I guess I really need to get a w900i fastport. The Z520 & P990 fastports look the same but are different in size & there is an additional contact point for the w900 that's not present in both

got it done already...however with the same original W900 fast port via an authorized SE parts retailer here in Manila...works fine now
Now I have no other reason to let such a SE masterpiece traded to another.
One question? Is there a way to save FM station presets? Or have the FM sound run through the phone's loudspeaker? (like the W800/K750?K800 etc.)

Glad you got it fixed.
I don't have myl W900i anymore so can't tell you about the FM presets but I seem to remember that this wasn't possible.
