I hav k850i since last year, updated to R1EA037 via SEUS.

The standard bundled HPM-62 seems didn't satisfy enough, so I bought HPM-85.

Very powerful output, deep bass, clear and crispy treble.

One weak points I only noticed in HPM-85:
Mid-range sound was not clear.
And for information, bass-style is natural-soft, compared to hard-unnatural-knocking style in HPM-82 (maybe to maintain a natural and high fidelity sound. It's a taste of matter).

Good sound quality in general, high-fidelity type, thankfully to it's 30mm neodymium magnets that can handle 500mw power.

And right now, I hav a plan to buy HPM-90.

On technical comparison, hpm-90 hav 5mm neodymium magnets (smaller diameter means less impedance, leads to less power-handled than HPM-85. CONS), with oxygen-free cable (means less signal-lose in cable. PROS)

I ask to every peoples here that hav try HPM-85 and HPM-90: Which sound quality is better?

Please writes your opinion about bass, treble, stereo and hi-fi factor between this two product.

Don't mention about it's OLED display or simple-to-bring factor.

Since I'm audiophile, I only pay attention to sound quality factor^^

Please help me, because I feel uncertain to buy HPM-90. Should I buy this one?

If the sound quality is better, I will buy that.

Although it offers OLED display and smaller dimension, if the sound is worse, I will not buy that.

Thanks for your attention^^

hi there

i have a question.

we know now, that the K850i doesnt have IR port(no problem) but also hasnt the PlayNow button on the side , like my K750i and K810i have(bigr problem).

does the "play"button on the HPM 90 substitute the button on the side?

if it works, it would be great, because that way i dont need to take out the phone everytime i want to start the player. its very important to me.

@bijou: you mean the play/pause button. the PlayNow is where you download ringtones/music from .

imo, the play/pause button should work as well as the play/pause button does in the k750/w700/w800/w810...

@bijou,
of course the play button in hpm-82/hpm-85/hpm-90 will substitute that!

And thanks for all of your opinion

It seems that dentoters07 and mige have different opinion.

@mige, have you tried both of these headphone? (hmp-85 and hpm-90)

Thanks for your attention,
