> Apple Mac Air the final indignity!
Bookmark topic
I am NOT a big Apple fan, I find the company highly dictatorial and their products over hyped and over priced!
So it is hardly surprising I chuckled to myself in John Lewis in Bluewater yesterday, they are already offering clearance pricing on the Mac Air (Apparently they will not be getting any more as "People think they are very expensive and under spec'd")
I could not agree more!!
sorry for poor image quality I was using an

W960!

not only under spec'd (though thats always the case for slimmest or lightest in class type products) but I've read in quite a few sites and heard in a couple of podcasts that these overheat frequently

Hi Masseur
I heard that as well, I am not surprised these things are not selling, IMHO there are just pure hype! my tiny Asus Eee pc does it all much better and about a thousand quid cheaper!

That is the problem, Apple have decided that they are cooler than Microsoft, Yet Apple is more like Microsoft than Microsoft! A triumph of advertising if ever I saw one.
Or as Steve Job's might say. "Bugs? There are NO bugs", and so the bug reports just disapeared, hence Apple products have no bugs!

mine has never overheated so far.
I got it as a second (actually 3rd) computer.
I have my custom desktop (which i think I'll replace with the new iMac because it finally has a graphics card stronger than what I have) and I use the Macbook Air for my business trips.
edit:
I bought mine for 900 pounds though in Qatar
@belial, can you find me a laptop from another well known brand that has the same price margin / specs as a Macbook?
