> w960i message notifications

I seme to have somehow turned off message notifications on my w960i. So when get a new text it appears in my inbox but i dont get a message popping up on the screen that i have a new text. Can anyone advise me on how to turn them back on??

The settings are in Control panel > Device > Sounds & alerts > Message alerts.
