how to I do it? it says the files have to be of type SIS. HOw the hell can i download some mp3 songs or midi files from PC to P800???
im getting the little P800 icon at ight corner of bar and i have installed the suite P800!!!!

nope..only one click and it shows me the list
even my back up and restore is not working. when i click on it it states: FILE NOT FOUND..what the hell!!
how can i download and whats wrong with backup and restore??

Open windows, go to programs-Sony Ericsson-P800-Install Software. And when you open it, on the bottom, you should select; "ALL FILES".

it is still not working. it says JAD file not found after it downloads it!!!
and the ackup/store says file not found!!!!

Did the PC suite installation work well? Can you sync your PDA?
It looks like a few files from the installation did not register properly (the same problem I have), but you should have got some error messages during installation then?

Things I have experienced and you can try :
- You can have a usb driver pb, reinstall it.
- You can have an old service pack. Install SP3 if you are with Windows 2000.
- Restart once your session and your phone (out of the cradle)
As soon as you can "see" what is going on in your phone (with "My P800", drag and drop files TO THE RIGHT PLACE : documents/audio or Video...
.jar and .sis files have to installed with the Installation program (available in Start/ Programs/ SonyEricsson). They can be installed also from the phone, but it's cleaner like this, at least with .sis files.
An easy way of transferring files is to send them to the phone via IR or Bluetooth or even via mail. It'll work even if your PCSW is not well installed.

thanks for the tips but none r working.
the USB is fine and nothing is working to tell u the truth. i dont know how to use the IR for the PC and i dont think my pc is supporting it!!! not sure really.
but nothing else is working..i want to download files and create backup but its not happening!!! im damn pissed off cause i have installed the PC suite P800 and none of the download is working!!!!

i have got error messages but during downloading. installation was fine but when downloading i get those error messages. I downloaded one of the multimedia files on CD provided and it seems it went through ok but not downloads from my PC.
