Right, as some of you may know I ordered a Canon USM lens from the US a coupla weeks back...
Payment for it cleared last Thursday and USPS tracking said that it had left San Francisco on the 28th last month.
I know that USPS contract their international deliveries with FedEx, but as it's taken a little bit of time now, I'm thinking the lens is stuck in Customs over here.
So to find out the exact status of what exactly is going on, who would I call?
USPS, FedEx or HM Revenue and Customs?
If it's Revenue and Customs could someone tell me the number as well, as they seem to have a million different links on their website to contact numbers.
Thanks,
Arien.

I would contact both delivery companies rather than customs. I'm sure customs would contact you, especially if there was some money to pay.

Cheers mate
Will give them a ring tomorrow, have the day off school, see?
Before I'm done with this, just another question, would I need to pay any tax on this item? I mean it is second hand..

Ahh fair point.
Right. How much VAT?
It was £33.. so would I pay VAT for that or it's value brand new?

these companies would normally pay the vat/customs for you so the parcel is not delayed and then send you an invoice to pay them back..

Thanks everyone, apparently FedEx leave the parcel with Parcel Force so I have to deal with them :\\
My tracking number
does go through on PF's site, although it doesn't say that it's in the UK yet
