Im starting my fundraising early so i can reach my target and raise as much money for the charity as possible.
I have never run a marathon before so i dont really have a target time in mind, what do you guys suggest i try aim for?

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cancer Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!

Glad to hear that your doing this for charity. I will pop something in,but a little short at the moment.
I have completed 2 London Marathons myself, and consider it quite an achievement, and you should be proud of yourself.
My first one I completed in 4 hrs 50 mins, and the second one in 4 hrs 7 mins.
I would say it doesn't matter about the time and to make sure you enjoy the day, as the crowd will keep you going from start to finish.

One thing to remember is, get the right footwear, and do all your training in the trainers you intend to run the race in.
Take an old pair of trainers into a running shop, and they will give you all the advice you need.

Also if you tend to suffer form blisters, get yourself some twin skin socks. They retail around £5-£6 a pair, but well worth the money.
