i am planning to buy a phone but am unable to make a choice.
my topmost requirement is that it should be a camera free phone.
from the available options in the market as of now i have narrowed down to 2 phones :
1) nokia e51
2) imate jaq
the reason i am unable to decide on my own is because i have never had an imate & have not got a series60 phone since my n70.
i am familiar with both operating systems.
points to consider when suggesting :
1) i use my phone for browsing extensively.
2) i'd like to have a considerable amount of internal memory.
4) i don't mind compromising on a few features but i'd like a phone with better hardware inside & better build quality outside.
5) fm radio is not necessary but i'd like a versatile media player.
6) i hardly text but i use a lot of gmail/aol on my phone so pop email is a must.
7) i practically survive on opera mini so java is indispensable.
this is all that comes to mind right now.
all feedback is appreciated, especially from owners of the above mentioned 2 phones.
ps : i am upgrading from a nokia 9300.

Personally, I'd recommend the Sony Ericsson M600i...

It's a great device with a very stable OS, with the latest FW its a great phone, CameraLess and plus its TriBand & UMTS...

@bobafett,

Get a E51. Its a fantastic phone. If you can, just try and hold it in your hands and get the feel of it. Its got a relatively new button layout.

@qvga,
that is correct, nokia has even replaced the symbian swirl key with a home key & placed quite a few shortcut keys.
it's kind of like a blend of series80 & windows mobile in a series60 package.
do you have any hands on experience with an e51?

I'd highly recommend the Nokia E51, feels good in the hand, well made and the chunky keyboard is very tactile, speedy OS, been using one for a couple of months (camera version) and it would be my choice.
