after upgrading to the latest firmware, it seems like my phone has more bugs now. How can I get the se update service to reinstall the firmware? A master reset doesn't help so I'm thinking something got corrupted. I have issues with email, sms, and opera. This message was posted from a WAP device

Can you please elaborate your problem including what problems you are experiencing with each program?

Browser will crash and give some kern 6 error or something. This only happens when I visit some sites and it doesn't happen all the time.

I can't mass delete SMS messages in my inbox my marking them or deleted them through the inbox. I have to go into each message then delete them.

I can't store SMS messages on the phone, they can only be stored on the SIM

Message unread counter is off every so often and I need to end messaging and restart it to refresh properly

Email locks up when I try to download

it sounds pretty much like a botched firmware installation. go into the folder where you installed the SE firmware updater and delete the folder called 'db'. then plug your phone in and reinstall the firmware. it should do the job.

update service says that my phone is up to date and won't update even though I deleted the db folder.

try uninstalling the update service, delete all leftover files and reinstall. then try the update again. if it doesn't work you might have to take it an SE Service Centre and have them do the firmware install for you.
