Have encountered a strange problem while trying to update. My K850i is recognized by SEUS and the new FW APAC-ANZ R1EA037 is downloaded. Once the download is complete the program begins to flash the FW and the progress window appears, but after a few seconds there is no change and a message screen appears saying "Update failed. Please disconnect the phone and try again later." I have tried the update a few times with the same result. The phone had previously been updated twice and currently has R1EA031 installed. Anyone have a similar problem updating?

Does the phone boot up normally?
Try doing a master reset on the phone and updating.

The phone does boot and operate normally. Have not tried a master reset yet. What information will be lost after a master reset?

at master reset all datas gets lost. contacts, pix etc make a back on the pc and / or on the mem card before u do it

I'm hesitant to play around with the phone too much after all the reports of the K850i turning into a brick. Is this FW update worth resetting the phone to try an update again?

Not sure what fw you're on, but both R1EA031 and R1EA037 are vulnerable to BRODs
