Is it supposed to be like that? I turn off the phone and then plug it on my recharging station. After doing that, the screen turns on showing the logo and then a white screen appears during the entire recharging process. Is it supposed to be like that? My other SE phones just dim the screen to black whenever it is recharging.

Apparently yes, since SE's all UIQ3 phones boot half way and then stay dim during charging if the phone is turned off.

But nobody knows the logic behind.

Exactly the same with my P1i.

The obvious way round this is to have the phone on or in flightmode when charging, then the powersaving system fades out the screen, and as it's the screen that is the principle power drain, your phone might even charge faster this way

All you need to do is tap the battery icon, then settings, and change car holder to auto instead of on.

This setting has only effect when the phone is switched on, not when it's off.

I still don't understand why you want to shut down the phone entirely just to charge...I personally only do this to reset in the event of program errors - which is not very often.
