So you have some mobile game files that you want to emulate them on your pc. You searched the internet but you didn't find any useful information? I decided to wrote step-by-step guide how to do it. If you like it, please reply.
Most mobile games have ».jar« extension. You need a software to emulate them on your computer. Here are some of them:
MidpX (best emulator: all games work, adds some annoying shortcuts – but its worth it)
- download and install MidpX (http://kwyshell.myweb.hinet.net/pager.html?Project/MidpX/index.html)
- double-click on jar.game (if it doesn't start: left-click on it, click Open it with, find MidpX, and click Ok)
- when you start the game, the program will make exe file out of .jar. so you can copy .exe file into another folder and run the game from there (if it there is no exe file after you close the game: DURING the game open folder with .jar in Explorer, copy exe file, paste it into another directory)
- after you convert all .jar files into exe files, I advise to uninstall the program because it adds annoying tool bar shortcuts into Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer
Sun Java Wireless Toolkit (working, but it is a big software – more than 35 MB)
- download and install Sun Java Wireless Toolkit (http://java.sun.com/products/sjwtoolkit/download.html?feed=JSC)
- download and install Jad Generator (http://www.imserba.com/download/details.php?file=2737)
- left-click on .jar file, click Open it with, find Jad Generator, and click Ok (the program will create jad file)
- click: Start > Programs > Sun Java (TM) Wireless Toolkit > Run MIDP Application
- find the folder of your game, and click on jad file of your game
GameMagic (some games don't work, small windows program)
- download GameMagic (http://www.programy.netbus.pl/jar-emulator/)
- lunch the file and find .jar
Mpowerplayer (some games don't work, small Java program)
- you will need Java to run the program (if you don't already have it installed, you will have to download and install it)
- download Mpowerplayer (http://mpowerplayer.com/)
- lunch the file, click File > Open, find your game and click Ok
* if links don't work, search the Google for the programs
Please reply if you find this helpful. I took time to wrote this guide to help you, so you can log-in and post reply in exchange.
