Its not possible as far i know, you could add the pictures you want to your favourite, so that no other pics show up..

something that's not .jpg .bmp .png or .gif (the picture formats recognised by the phone)

You can use a java app such as mini-commander or moby explorer to change file extensions on the phone itself, or you can do it via the computer.

I suggest the .ini extension. Only a pc has the viewer for it AFAIK so you can switch it from say mypic.gif to mypic.ini and do away with your problems, happy trying!

On a PC, if you tried to open a .ini file that was really a jpg, windows would try to open it in notepad (ini files are associated with notepad by default).

So that would work, but to open in windows you could right click and select open with..

Another way would be to rename it a picture extension the phone doesn't know, for example ".pcx". When the image is double clicked in windows, your image viewer will be able to open even though it has the wrong extension, but on the phone it won't be viewable.

Or if you wanted it so it can't be opened by double clicking in windows, you could assign the extension ".cmd", try it and see, when you double click an image called .cmd you get a dos window pop up with crazy characters flashing through it and the PC speaker beeping like crazy for a second then disappear. Like a warning to whoever is trying to open your images. They may think they infected the computer with a virus!!

that trick does't work on the K800. I'm guessing not on K850 either. You can't see the image in the media player, but if you go into the file manager, and browse to the ringtones folder, you can find the image and click on it and it WILL open. Okay it's pretty safe in there because there is no thumbnail, but if someone was looking around they could still find the image and open it. So not fool proof.
