UIQ3 is undoubdedly better technically. It is SE's piss poor implementation and lack of developers creating apps that is the problem.

S60 is not nearly as good, but with Nokia making very very good phones like the N95-2 and loads of apps available, it is far better from a users point of view.

If SE gave us another phone as well programmed and supported as the P910i then I'm sure UIQ would shine again. Sadly at the moment I am sticking with S60 because it works. Simple as that.

I'd go with S60. Simply because I think it's easier to use with better functionality, and less buggy ATM. Also, as said above, there are tons of applications for S60.

Just my view...

Hi all,

Well having now been with S60 for nearly two years i can honestly say for me it really is a superb OS, that gets plenty of support and free apps both form Nokia and developers.

The hardware found on S60 is up to date and with nothing left out and if UIQ ever gets the same it would be a much tougher fight but currently the lack of up to date hardware and spec's has crippled UIQ. Only SE or Motorola can change things but at least Moto have used much better spec's than SE and we can but hope that UIQ gets what it needs and deserves to be able to shine once more. As currently IMO it just can't achieve it's true potential as it really should be a great OS especially for those that love a touch screen.

The only unique feature UIQ has over S60 was a Touch screen but by the end of the year even that won't be so any longer.

Personally i just don't get on with Touch Screens any longer even after having used them for so long and now much prefer a non touch screen device. For now my S60 powered E90 is the best device available for me and nothing comes close to it's power and 4" screen and 57 key keyboard.

Marc

UIQ but only on touchscreen phones.

S60 isn't that great in my eyes, it also lacks a touchscreen to be considerd good.

On non touchscreen phones i prefere the A200 platform

I personally prefer UIQ over S60, as it's a lot easier to use for me.
