> Changing to a new M2 card
Bookmark topic
Hi there - hopefully quick question.
I have a k850i that shipped with a 512MB M2 card. I'd like to upgrade to a 4 GB M2, which I just bought. Is there anything special that I need to do to move games/music/etc. from the old M2 to the new one? Can I just drag and drop? (e.g. use the USB mode to transfer files from the old card to my computer, swap out the old card for the new, and then transfer the files back onto the new card)
Thanks!
Aaron

True for everything but the programs and games folders, since they are invisible if you connect the phone to the PC with the USB cable, and if you have a M2 card reader, I believe they are copy protected.
Instead, you can move the games and programs from the memory card to the phone memory, then switch cards and move them from phone memory to the new card. If you have many programs and games and little phone memory left, you may need to repeat the procvess until all programs and games are moved.

Actually you can copy the games. What you can't do is use the games on the card on another phone or on the same phone after it has been master reset.
But what you need to do is copy everything that's on the 512MB card onto the 4GB card exactly as it is.
Then your games will still work.

Be sure to enable viewing of hidden files and folders if you're gonna copy everything.

If you select a folder to copy, windows will copy all the contents even hidden files (even when you have hidden files set to "hide" in windows explorer)

Hmm... But the system folder is in the root of the memory stick and will not be copied right? Do correct me if I'm wrong, max.
