Hi all
I don't know about you, but ar'nt you lot really getting p*ssed of, hearing about the presedential campaign in America? All OUR British media seem to cover it all the time, as if we are the 51st state, we may as well be, seing the amount of times our government licks George Bush's backside.
On BBC news, they had a whole section about it about a month ago, with the US flag in the background. Who honestly gives two sh*ts? I honestly could not give a crap if Obama or Clinton won, like its gonna make much diffrence to us. Did the Americans cover Gordon Brown becoming the new PM as much as we are about their presedents? We are British ffs.
I hate to say it, but the US is a very Patriotic country, and sadly Britain is not. People have to wake up to this crap.
America! On behalf of Great Britain, I dont give a f***!

I agree that it is over covered by the media but what happens in america unfortunately often affects us here in the uk. If the american banks had been more sensible with their mortgages we would probably more stable financially here in the uk. We are to close to the u,s.

Yeah, its the same everywhere. You know what they say though, whoever is the American president is the most powerful man in the world. We might as well know who that is considering what they are therefore capable of doing. But yeah, I agree that we get far too much coverage of it for countries that need to focus on their own problems. It is especially irritating now when they aren't even at the proper elections, they're just doing stupid polls or something that I don't understand.
But then, if it means we get less space-filler stories about some cocky nine year-old rich kid climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, then I'm all for the US presidency coverage.

I don't know whats worse, America being braindead and thinking the hole world is America, or our media who carry on and cover all of it.
