dwnload the sony ericsson theme's creator from sonyericsson.com, you have to unzip the .zip file, and place the images from the folder into the right spots into the theme's creator, it takes a while to do, but thats the only way i know to get them into the .utz format.

Just rename the file, changing the file extension .zip to be .utz. Simple as that.

Some zipped theme files contain the utz (theme) file inside, while others are the utz file itself, since an utz file is atually the same as a zip file. It's only a different extension which is being recognized by SE's UIQ phones as a theme file.
So if the former is not the case for you, you simply have to change the file extension and place the file in any folder of your handset (phone or mem stick doesn't matter) and execute it. That's it.
If your desktop OS is set to hide known file extensiions which are associated with an application, you have to untick this option on your PC in order to make the extension visible.
The other options are either to do it via command prompt on your PC or, as already suggested by AD, to rename the file via 3rd party file manager after transferring it to your phone.

Command prompt??? When was your pc made dude?
I guess you could do it with the dos 'ren' command, but I find it easier to use the GUI's folder options to enable viewing of file extensions, detailed instructions in the OTHER thread on this matter

Just noticed that you've started two threads for your problem. My previous post was intended for the other one.

@AD
What's wrong with the command prompt ?
I'm on Vista H.P. and it's still there (run > cmd)

I was just kidding

There's nothing wrong with CMD at all - very useful when all else fails, the notion just caught me by surprise is all

,as one needs a lot of background knowledge to use it effectively.

I couldn't resist
Having come from the 5.25" MS-DOS days back in 1980s, I still find the command prompt very useful. There are so many things you can do in a snap within the black box that either you just can't do or it takes several steps using the windows GUI.
Ask any UNIX/Linux user, they will confirm

LOL - ok I submit

All a mater of taste I suppose
But my point was that it's easier to explain file opperations via the GUI than it would be via CMD, I think that there would be a lot of explanation of basic principles & convention, can we at least agree on that?
