My Friend found a W810 while playing football, we live in the UK... he took it back to me and asked if it was the one my girlfriend lost recently up the park, but it wasn't, it was a white one, not a black one. We believe hers was stolen, but this one had a huge crack on the screen, dog bite marks all over and it would turn on and after the heavy rain we've had, I must admit I wasn't surprised. It was him not me by the way. But anyway we intend to turn it in, but I was just wondering what are the UK laws about this sort of thing... and is there any point... I think the phones beyond the point of no return..

Thanks

would have been reported stolen. The phone will not pick up any signal then.

The phone is worth nothing anyways... I think if you can find a contact such as "mum", "dad" or "home" give them a ring and give it back. I think the phonebook is the most important thing to most people...

totalgsm: will the phone be locked on all networks or just the one the person who lost it belongs to?

@RLP06:

If reported stolen, the phone will be locked on all UK networks.

Thats quite helpful, they don't do such a thing in Canada, which is unfortunate, because so many mobiles get stolen there... I'd assume not many people steal mobiles here in the UK then?
