I just got a new SE W890i, and love the phone.

I also use an Ipaq PDA with a Globalsat BT338 bluetooth GPS receiver and Tom Tom, which all works perfectly.

I am not having much luck in getting the Globalsat BT338 to work with the W890i and Google Maps though, and would appreciate any help/advice.

I can get the phone/receiver to see each other no problem, I can enter the default "pairing code" of 0000, and it looks like they have paired.....however, on the phone the seelction "Connected Devices" remains greyed out, which leads me to suspect they are not actually connected.

Also, when I select Location Services - Status Info......it just gives me flash info message saying "GPS plugin accessory", obscuring the actual app behind it, so I cant see if the phone is receiving any GPS info.

Can anyone help me - does the W890 need the official SE GPS plugin module (the one with headphones as well), or does it just look like my trusty Globalsat is not compatible?

Thanks for any advice,

Andy.
