I really am tempted to get this phone, but I read so many cases of cracked keys, does it literally happen to all of them, or were there a lot of bad batches?
Kind regards in advance

I bought one when it was newly launched production week 35. After few months the keypad cracked and the lcd went haywire. It was replaced by SE with production week 41. It serves well till today without any glitch.

However I read somewhere that S500 and W580 keypad has a tendency to crack due to material and the way it is constructed.

If I may advice, go straight to W910i. It is a better phone and much better better keypad. The price has drop significantly. You can run the S500 everchanging theme desktop flash on it.

Ugh
Yes, my keypad cracked so I got it repaired at an authorised SE centre, and within a week they had started to crack AGAIN. I have given up as the closest SE centre is interstate. The keys work fine, it just looks dodgey. Other than that: a fabulous phone.
