Just read short story about a guy who recently walked into a T Mobile store and was helped by a useless sales assistant totally untrained. This is how it went: I RECENTLY WENT INTO MY LOCAL T MOBILE STORE TO TRY AND PURCHASE A K850i. WHEN I APPROACHED THE SALES ASSISTANT AND ASKED FOR IT, THE ASSISTANT HAD NO IDEA! AFTER A LENGHTY TALK,HE SAID "SO ITS A SAMSUNG ELECTRONIC?" I LOOKED HIM BLANK IN THE FACE AND WALKED OUT. He went on to say. WHERE DO THEY HIRE THESE PEOPLE? HOW CAN THEY NOT KNOW WHAT A K850i IS,ESPECIALLY THE PROBLEMS ITS HAVING WITH THE FIRMWARE. I TRIED MY BEST TO DISCRIBE IT BUT WITHOUT A DUMMY OR BROCHURE IN STORE TO POINT IT OUT IT WAS A WASTED EFFORT. YOU WONT SEE ME BUYING ANYTHING FROM THAT STORE! That was from letters page in What Mobile mag. I think its quite funny but also quite typical of some phone shops i have often been into stores and found out i know more than they do lol. Anyone else ever had similar experiences like this.

I called up Sony World in India yesterday...to enquire about the G900..
They don't even know that such a phone is coming from SE..and its supposed to be the official place here for buying SE handsets..

it`s not only phone stores , i was a retail manager for a large sports store a few years back, Now when i visit a sports store to purchase football boots /running shoes etc i am amazed at the rubbish some sales consultants come out with

That's what i heard a Comet sales rep telling a blatantly clueless man.
"No, these boxes don't have have USBs"
-I open the cover...
"What's this then?"
"Whoops."
Again, Comet.
About 2 people know what they're talking about, in the entire store!
The place is massive, it's like one of the biggest in London!

When i call up my bank the people on the other end all sound the same like robots its so wierd. Thats what its like in some stores these days im sure there all programmed and sometimes those robots malfunction lol

I find all of this ridiculous though. I mean, im in curries/dixons a lot of the time enquiring about differant things and the sales assistant is always getting things wrong and i always end up correcting him which they always find odd seeing as im only 14 years old and look about 11
