> W580 screen problem

i have already asked this question in the w580 thread..but didnt get a reply for 2 days. so here it is
guys..the screen on my phone..its showing very thin black lines..they are on the top part
horizontal lines..first there was one..then three more appeared and now another one..so in total five (now 6)
wat do i do..plz help

Sounds like the screen is damaged. The screens are quite cheap to buy.

my friend insists that its a software problem..he keeps saying cuz its increasing thats y its a software problem..and if it was hardware it wouldnt work etc etc...
so new screen den! i c...anybody else with any expertise

Screen is very easy to replace.Done quite a few. Front of the facia just unclips and the whole top section of the phone is revealed.If you want to remove the whole of the top section you will need to unscrew it from inside the battery compartment but you have to pierce the product sticker to get to the holes for the screws.I could sort you out some pics of it if you want.

omg had my phone for a couple of months, w580 took care of it like a baby now i have the same problem !!!
and its expanding downwards, like it's eating my screen!! any help please

well i bought it from my provider Rogers in toronto. and then i flashed it myself and debranded it, and unlocked so i dont know if it still under warranty?
also if i take it in they might re flash it, then i have to reflash it myself again and that was a biggg hassle
id like to know if this is a software problem, or hardware(lcd replacement)
