Hi guys,
I'm sure a few of you have tried the PIPS library which speeds up the interface on the Sony Ericcson UIQ phones. The last version was 1.2, I tried it, it did make browsing through the interface a tad snappier espaecially messages and contacts but my phone kept on crashing after 24 hr of use so I got rid of.
Apparently a version 1.3 has been realeased recently.
Haven't had time to test it yet but willl do tonight.
I'll let you guys know about my findings.

i installed it...so far, so good...

remember (i think people forget this), both files need to be installed on C (not D), and first is PIPS

I've installed the 1.3 version yesterday and so far have't got any problems with it - the messaging and contacts are a bit faster and so it is, no crashes or any other strange things.

js wanna know, if wanna install this latest version, need to remove/uninstall version 1.2 first or can install straight away version 1.3?

How does PIPS speed up the interface??
I thought it was just some programming libaries to make it easier for developers to port apps from other systems to Symbian / UIQ.

never tried it ! .... but in the zone (sort of speech)

so we have to install it

1. Install pips_uiq_1_3_ss.sis
2. Install stdioserver_uiq_1_3.sis
3. Reboot. If necessary, reboot again.

any side effects ?! (using the previous versions)
