Install a modem using the phone drivers. I think u need to install also the software from your phone cd in order to use gprs. What phone and cable(serial or usb) do u have? This post was posted from a R520

dis wot u can do if u hav infrared on ur pc (look 4 a black window thing on ur pc)

on the right side of fone (t68/t68i) there is IR window. make sure both IR windows r facing each other. go to sonyerricson.com and look 4 modem driver OR go to google.com and search 4 sony erricson t8i modem driver

i think url 4 downloads is download.sonyerricson.com or tools.sonyerricson.com maybe they r mabye not...

install driver and do wot says here...

In the computer:
Click on the icon My Computer > Control Panel > Phone and Modem Option (open)>Modems (open) > Add… (Press) > do not change anything, when new window appears, click “Next” > (computer will detect the modem, which will be named “Ericsson T68 cable modem” > Mark the modem > Click “Next” press > Finish

The installed modem will appear in the modem list.

if the modem already there dont do ne of that

In the computer:
Click on the icon My Computer > Control Panel > Ericsson Mobile Modem Settings (open):
If the operating system of your computer is Microsoft Windows 2000 or newer, mark 28.8 kb/s in the “Preferred connection speed: (GSM data)” field.
If the operating system is older than Microsoft Windows 2000, mark “For HSCSD. (GSM data)” in the “Connection speed settings” field and restart the computer. When the computer is restarted, go to “Ericsson Mobile Modem Settings”, press “Modem Settings” at the top of the window and mark 28.8 kb/s in the “Preferred connection speed: (GSM data)” field.

@sadguy

You need to first make a new GPRS data connection on your mobile phone. For that you need APN (Access Point Name) which is dependent on the connection type i.e. postpaid or pre-paid and also on your mobile number. I suggest that you get in touch with the Ufone help line for details.

Once the GPRS data connection has been set in your phone, you should see a triangle right above the signal stength indicator.

Now you can use GPRS to do the following

*Access WAP sites on your mobile phone. (
*Access email using your email client built into your t68i
*connect your phone with a PC using Bluetooth, Infra Red or Data Cable and connect you PC to internet.

To setup the wap you need IP address of the wap gateway that will also be provided by Ufone.
