> Buying P800 in Stockholm
Bookmark topic
A friend of mine will be travelling from Stockholm to my town in two weeks. I am going to ask him to buy P800 for me. Can someone tell me where to buy it? I'd prefer to buy tax-free - anyone tried the Arlanda airport tax-free shops?

Don't know about the tax-free shops, depending on the terminal they can be quite weak at stockholm (which airline is he flying?), but I just had my friend buy me a p800 in stockholm itself and bring it back home to me (Im a Swede living in London).
GEAB The Phonehouse (chain, owned by the Carphonewarehouse) have the P800 in stock in some downtown shops - though they have two prices (!) SEK 10200 for the early-shipment ones and SEK 8495 for the second shipment onwards... Needless to say my mate hunted down a second-shipment phone for me
Another shop chain to try is Telia (BT equivalent) who list the phone online for SEK 7797 but whose Kungsgatan shop at least had none in stock "until after new year".
It seems like SEs strategy of only releasing in certain markets before xmas has meant that stock in those countries is adequate to match demand (a far cry from the release of the T68 and others when a shop in stockholm had sold 25 but only recevied 5 in the first three months)...
Good luck - the phone is awesome!

Adapt have only shops in Uppsala (80km north of Stockholm)... but there are many shops in Stockholm that probably have the P800 now, the price is 7000-8000 SEK for it in most shops.

Comments from Telia and Vodafone at Arlanda:
Telia > We expect to have them in stock in Early February
Vodafone > We have not yet recieved any information about when we can recieve P800's, but we hope to have it available Late January / Early February.

Then I must have had the biggest luck because I just went buy a Vodafonestore and picked one up just before chrismast.

To all: Thank you so much for your input. I'm so happy to have some directions for my man in Stockholm

I will probably post again soon before the purchase (in a week or so) and will ask again to confirm the best place. If you happen to find the-place-to-buy-p800-in-Stockholm drop me a note...
