Today i went to a local council meeting for the first time ever for plans of a 14.4 metre high Vodafone 3G mast. It was at local library and it was the first time i ever been to something like this. But i was annoyed cos around here there is no Vodafone 3G coverage and i would like to try Vodafone 3G to see how good it really is as i never have experienced it. Anyway i want that mast put up but everyone else typically was against it. ITS GOING TO CAUSE EVERYONE TO GET CANCER some woman said. What complete crap. I know someone who has lived in site of a huge mast for years and there is nothing wrong with them. We heard something about it ages ago this mast but now its only just going ahead with meetings the planning takes so long its crazy. Anyone else ever been part of this sort of thing.

Well we were once at a meeting, i was with my dad, about a News International press being opened near here.
I mean if this thing sparks, the compressed gas in there would prolly be enough to wipe out this side of London!

...so the council approved and it's almost complete.

I'd have the mast at my place if it would speed up my HSDPA connection

Cancer my a**, you'll find there's more carcinogens in Basil and Coffee than there are in that mast.

I agree with you there Reg thats what i was thinking. They just want something to moan about. There are things around us on a daily basis that we all use that give off low level radiation. They seem to think just cos they have heard someone say the masts cause cancer they start moaning saying they have evidence that everyone is suffering from it cos of the mast. Complete rubbish and where it has happened its just coincidence. I been using a mobile since 1997 and there aint nothing wrong with me.
